I went in there, feeling like a wrung-out dishrag. Couldn’t sleep, couldn’t eat right. Just miserable. He poked around, asked me a bunch of questions. He gave me some pills, told me to rest up. Said to make sure to eat some good food. Doctor care.

It ain’t easy getting old. Things start to creak and groan. You get sick more often. But having a good doctor makes all the difference. Someone you can trust. Someone who knows what they’re doing. Someone who cares. I think having a good doctor is like winning a lottery.
I remember one time, I had this terrible cough. Kept me up all night. I went to see this doctor, and he gave me some cough syrup. Said it would help me sleep. And you know what? It did! Slept like a baby that night. That’s good doctor care, right there.
Another time, I fell and hurt my hip. Oh, it hurt something awful! I thought I was done for. But this doctor, he fixed me right up. Gave me some pain medicine, told me to stay off it for a while.
