I read it over a few times, tweaked it here and there, and made sure it sounded sincere, not too over the top. I wanted it to be genuine and from the heart.
I printed it out on some nice paper, signed it, and put it in an envelope. Then, I hand-delivered it to his office. I thought that dropping it off myself added a nice personal touch.
Honestly, it felt really good to express my appreciation like that. I hope it brightened his day even a little. It’s important to recognize the people who make a real difference in our lives, right? And surgeons definitely do that. The whole experience reminded me how crucial it is to show gratitude, especially to those who go above and beyond in their professions.
