Okay, so yesterday was my niece Lily’s 7th birthday, and I wanted to send out some nice “thank you” notes to everyone who came to the party. I’m not a big fan of generic store-bought cards, so I decided to get a little crafty.

First, I gathered all my supplies. I already had some colored cardstock, envelopes, and some cute stickers with balloons and cupcakes on them. I also found some old birthday photos of Lily to add a personal touch.
My Simple Plan
- Pick a nice, bright color of cardstock for each card.
- Write a short, personal message inside.
- Decorate the front with stickers and maybe a photo.
- Address the envelopes and pop them in the mail.
I started by choosing different colors for each family. I figured bright colors are more fun, right? Then came the hard part – the messages. I didn’t want to write the same thing over and over, so I thought about something specific each person/family did or brought to the party.
For example, for Aunt Sarah, who brought that amazing chocolate cake, I wrote something like, “Thank you so much for coming to Lily’s party! That chocolate cake was absolutely divine, everyone loved it!” I made sure to mention the cake specifically, so it felt more personal.
For the kids, I kept it simple. I wrote things like, “Thanks for coming to my party! I had so much fun playing with you!” and added extra stickers to their cards.
After I finished writing all the messages, I stuck a small photo of Lily on some of the cards, especially for family members who live far away. I used the stickers to decorate the front of each card, making them all colorful and festive.
Finally, I addressed all the * helped me put the stamps,She love to do that! After all done. We walked to the mailbox together and dropped them in. Done!
It took a bit of time, but it was totally worth it. Everyone loves getting something personal in the mail, and I think it’s a much nicer way to say “thank you” than just a quick text message.
