I woke up this morning with a nasty pain in my stomach. I thought it was nothing, just a little too much food last night, you know? But it kept getting worse, and I started to worry.

I decided to go see a doctor. It’s a hassle, but what can you do, right? I get there, and it’s the usual deal – waiting room, forms, all that stuff. Finally, I get to see the doctor, and he’s this really calm guy, which is nice, because I’m starting to freak out a little.
He listens to me, really listens, while I’m telling him about the pain. I mean, I’m probably rambling, but he doesn’t rush me or anything. Then he does the whole check-up thing – poking around, asking questions. And he’s super gentle, which I appreciate because, by this point, I’m in a lot of pain.
- He explained everything he was doing.
- He answered all my questions, even the dumb ones.
- He didn’t make me feel stupid or like I was wasting his time.
Turns out, it was something a little more serious than just overeating. But he caught it early, which is great. He gave me some medicine, told me what to do, what not to do, and all that.
But here’s the thing – it wasn’t just that he did his job. It was how he did it. He was patient, you know? Kind. I felt like he actually cared. And in those situations, that makes a huge difference.
So, I left the clinic feeling a lot better, not just physically, but also, like, emotionally? It’s weird, but it’s true. It’s amazing how much a little compassion can help when you’re feeling vulnerable.
A Huge Thanks
I just wanted to share this because we often hear about the bad stuff, right? But this was a good experience, a really good one. It reminded me that there are some great doctors out there. And to my doctor, if you ever read this – thank you. Seriously, thank you. You made a scary day a whole lot better, your compassion is more effective than any medicine.
I am blessed that you are my doc! To everyone else, if you find a doctor like this, hold onto them. They’re the real deal.
