Need a Thank You Note for Dog Sitter? Heres How to Write a Great One Quickly and Easily

Okay, so, I had to go out of town for a week, and you know, leaving my furry buddy, Buster, behind is always tough. I usually ask my neighbor, Mrs. Davis, to watch him, and she’s a real lifesaver. But this time, I decided to try out a professional pet sitter I found, Sarah. I was a bit nervous at first, but I needed someone reliable and, well, professional, you know?

Before I left, I made sure to prepare everything for Sarah. I wrote down Buster’s feeding schedule, his walking times, and any quirks he has—like how he loves belly rubs but hates having his paws touched. I also left her a list of emergency contacts, just in case.

While I was away, Sarah was amazing. She sent me daily updates with pictures of Buster playing in the park and looking all happy. It was such a relief to see him doing well. It really put my mind at ease. She even watered my plants, which was totally above and beyond!

When I got back, my house was just as I left it, and Buster was his usual happy self. It was clear that Sarah had taken excellent care of him. I was so grateful that I decided to write her a thank you note.

I grabbed a cute card from the store—one with a dog on it, of course. Inside, I wrote about how much I appreciated her taking care of Buster. I mentioned how the updates she sent really helped me relax and enjoy my trip. And I made sure to tell her how happy Buster was when I got home.

  • I also tucked in a little extra cash as a bonus. I mean, she really deserved it for going above and beyond, taking care of Buster and my plants, too.
  • I left the note on the kitchen counter where she would find it.

Giving Thanks

Honestly, a good pet sitter is worth their weight in gold. And a heartfelt thank you note? That’s just a small way to show your appreciation for someone who takes such good care of your furry friend. Trust me, it goes a long way!
