Okay, so today I wanted to get a little crafty and personal. I’ve been meaning to send out some proper thank you notes for, well, a bunch of stuff. You know how it is – birthdays, holidays, kind gestures from friends… it all adds up. And honestly, a text message just doesn’t cut it sometimes. I wanted something a little more special, so I thought, why not make my own? I call it a “thank you note invitation” because it’s like inviting someone to receive your gratitude, making it feel a bit more formal and heartfelt.

Getting Started
First, I gathered my supplies. Nothing fancy, just some things I had lying around:
- Cardstock: I had a pack of plain white cardstock, but you could use colored paper, patterned paper, whatever you like!
- Pens: I grabbed a few different colored pens, including a nice black one for the main message.
- Envelopes: Gotta have somewhere to put these beauties!
- Some Decorations(optional):I chose some washi tape.
Making the Cards
Next, I did designed and drew what I thought.
I kept it pretty simple. Folded the cardstock in half to make the *, I used a pencil to lightly sketch out where I wanted my message to go. This helped me make sure everything was centered and looked neat.
After I’m ok with the design, I did these:
- The Writing:Now for the important part! I used my best handwriting (which isn’t saying much, haha) to write my thank you messages. I tried to be specific about what I was thanking each person for, instead of just a generic “thanks for everything!” I started the main invitation letter.
- Adding Some Decoration:Since I’m a little artistically, I added a few simple decorations.I used washi tape to add to the coner of the cardstock.
Finishing Touches
Finally, I wrote the invitee’s name at the beganing of the letter.
And that’s it! They’re not perfect, but they’re handmade, and I think that adds a special touch. Plus, it was actually kind of relaxing to sit down and do something creative for a bit. Now I just need to pop them in the mail and hopefully brighten someone’s day. I highly recommend trying this if you’re looking for a way to make your thank yous a little more meaningful. It’s easy, fun, and shows you really care!
