Well, another year has flown by, just like that. It feels like just yesterday we were putting up those Christmas lights, and now here we are again! This year, I wanna say a big thank you. Thank you for the holidays, thank you for everything.

Holidays Are About Family
You know, these holidays, they ain’t just about the fancy decorations or the presents under the tree. Nope. They’re about being with your family, the people you love most. This year, like every other year, I’m grateful for my family.
- My kids, bless their hearts, they always make time for their old ma.
- And the grandkids, running around, full of beans, they bring so much joy to my old house.
- Even old Frank, been married to him for 50 years now, still makes me laugh.
Having them around during these holidays, that’s the best gift I could ever ask for. We eat, we laugh, we tell old stories, and for a little while, everything just feels right in the world. So, thank you holidays for giving us a good time to get together.
Thankful For The Food
And the food! Oh boy, the food during the holidays is something else. I spend days in the kitchen, cooking up a storm. Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, pies, you name it, I make it. It’s a lot of work, yeah, but seeing everyone’s faces when they dig in, that makes it all worth it.
My daughter, she always brings her famous apple pie. And my son, he’s a whiz with the barbecue, even in the cold. We all pitch in, and it’s a real feast. I’m so thankful for the food and my family, this is the best holiday.
I’m thankful for the full bellies and the happy hearts. It’s a blessing, really, to have so much good food on the table, especially when you know there are folks out there who aren’t as lucky. Thank you holidays, for this great food we can have.
Thank You For The Little Things
It ain’t just the big things, though. It’s the little things too. Like the Christmas carols on the radio, those old songs bring back so many memories. Or the smell of pine needles from the Christmas tree, fills the whole house with that special holiday scent. Thank you holidays for these smells.
And the lights! I love seeing all the houses lit up, twinkling in the dark. It’s like the whole neighborhood is putting on a show just for us. It’s beautiful, really. So thank you holidays, you are so beautiful.
- The first snowfall, turning everything white and magical.
- The warm fire in the fireplace, crackling and popping.
- The sound of wrapping paper being torn open on Christmas morning.
These little things, they might seem small, but they add up to something big. They make the holidays special, you know? They make them feel like, well, the holidays. So thank you for these little things.
Thank You Holidays For The Memories
Every year, we make new memories during the holidays. Memories that we’ll cherish for years to come. Like that time little Timmy tried to put the star on top of the tree and ended up falling into it. Or when Sarah got her tongue stuck to a frozen pole. Silly things, really, but they make us laugh every time we think about them.
These memories, they’re like treasures. They’re what we hold onto when times are tough. They remind us of the good times, the happy times, the times when we were all together. So I want to say thank you holidays for these memories, I love them all.
Thank you holidays for bringing us together, for giving us a reason to celebrate, for filling our lives with joy and laughter and love. You’re the best, holidays, you really are. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I hope next year, and every year after, will be just as wonderful. I hope we’ll all be together again, making new memories, sharing new laughs, and enjoying each other’s company. I hope the food, the good time, and the smells could always be around us in every holiday. That’s all I want, really. That’s all any of us want, I reckon. Because at the end of the day, that’s what the holidays are all about. It is about being together, being thankful, and being happy. And for that, I’ll always be grateful. So, one more time, thank you holidays, from the bottom of my heart.
